At Hume Cement, we believe that schools are more than just buildings; they are beacons of hope and the foundation for the future leaders of our country. The community plays a vital role in shaping the framework for a brighter tomorrow, and we are proud to contribute to this cause.
Our Volunteering Efforts at SK Kota Bharu
On September 9th, volunteers from our Gopeng Plant took a step toward making a positive impact. We engaged with SK Kota Bharu, the nearest school to our plant, and organized a Gotong Royong activity. Our goal was simple: to provide a clean, conducive, and attractive environment that would enhance the educational experience for the children.
Enhancing the School Environment
Our commitment didn’t stop at just cleaning. We sponsored a variety of initiatives aimed at improving the school’s facilities, including:
- Classroom Beautification: Fresh paint and new curtains for classrooms.
- Library Revitalization: Laying vinyl tiles to create a more comfortable space for learning.
- General Cleaning: Tidying up the school grounds for a more pleasant environment.
- Tree Planting: Contributing to a greener, healthier environment for both students and staff.
These efforts align with our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, which encourage our volunteers to actively participate in creating a positive impact on the local community.
Our Vision Beyond Cement
At Hume Cement, we don’t merely supply cement for building construction. Deep within our hearts, much like our cement products, we aspire to strengthen the bonds that bind us to the neighboring community, enabling us to contribute to a much more robust foundation for the growth of the local community.
